How does it work (in Slack)?
CyberCoach is a security awareness training service. CyberCoach consists of a chatbot that provides training and advice to users. The service also includes a dashboard that gives users an overview of their learning. In addition, the dashboard has separate admin functionality that provides configurability and insight into usage.
CyberCoach can be used directly within Slack as a 1:1 conversation between user and bot. When used within Slack, the application also includes a Slack homepage that displays a limited set of data about the user's training progress. The dashboard is a web application accessed through a browser. Logging into the dashboard is done using Slack credentials. The Slack homepage has a direct link to the dashboard. Users can have conversations with the bot also through the dashboard in a separate web UI.
How do I get started as an admin?
Go to Profile & Settings to access the Configuration and Analytics views.
Company Settings
You can find Settings on the left of the configuration dashboard. Insert a link to your company logo. Choose the languages used in your organization and define the default language.
The number of employees is not connected to your number of licenses. Enter here the actual number of employees in your company to get the statistics right.
Set the name of your company in all chosen languages. This text will appear throughout the trainings when your company is mentioned. The grammatically different fields apply to Finnish only.
CyberCoach can be customized to display organization-specific instructions and policies, using configurable snippets of text. These are visible in different training dialogues and advice scenarios.
You should insert the instructions in all used languages. You can also modify the terms explained if you have a need to adjust according to your company info.
Since the space on a user’s display (especially if using mobile) is limited, we recommend that you use short texts or add a link to the actual policy, instead of writing long texts to be displayed by CyberCoach.
If you do not set a policy, CyberCoach may display a generic placeholder.
Learning Paths
Create role-based learning paths by choosing what is mandatory and what is optional for each role and hide any trainings you think may not be relevant.
Add as many role-based custom learning paths as you like and rename them to fit your organization. You can also create learning paths for special situations, such as onboarding purposes.
CyberCoach content is regularly updated, and new content is available every month. All you have to do is click and assign what is relevant for your user groups. The new modules are visible to users only when you choose them on the template. Remember to communicate to your users when new modules become available.
Analytics
Analytics panel gives you information about the performance and impact of CyberCoach in your company. The dashboard helps you report training completion and see an overview of incidents.
You can create training specific reports and learning path specific reports on trainings completed, employees missing completion and an answers report. You can only view employees' completion status, not their personal answers.
In the learning path editor you can also assign Report Admins who have access to specific learning path reports.
You can see individual training completion status, but the individual behavior and responses in the trainings are anonymous. The Answers report outlines the number of correct and wrong answers among all users.
Assessments
CyberCoach In-Chat Risk Self-Assessments simplify compliance with standards and regulations such as ISO 27001 and GDPR, allowing employees and leaders to perform necessary evaluations directly in CyberCoach. Assessments are available for CyberCoach Complete plans.
Activate the assessments in all relevant learning paths. Users access the assessments directly in the CyberCoach main menu.
How do I get started as a user?
Once you have access to CyberCoach, the App will open in "Home" view. From here, you can go either straight to "Messages" to start learning or asking for advice. For configuring your language and/or learning path, click on the "CyberCoach" button to open CyberCoach in the Browser and access your Profile.
You can choose whether you wish to use CyberCoach from the "Messages" tab directly within Slack, or through the Browser version.
In this Home view, you will see a snapshot of where you are on your learning path. For a full view of your statistics, you will need to open the Browser version of CyberCoach from the "CyberCoach" button.
What permissions does the app require?
The service requires access to the minimum possible of Slack permission scopes in order to function. For example, the service needs to be able to retrieve the names of the users in the Slack workspace so that admins can see who has completed mandatory training for compliance reporting. The scopes were selected using the principle of least privilege. Detailed information about the use of each scope is presented when CyberCoach is installed on Slack.
What if my team grows?
Let us know when you outgrow your plan, and we will give you an upgrade offer and apply already paid fees as credit.
Can I change my plan later?
Yes! We'll credit what you have already paid from your new plan.
What languages do you support?
Training is available in English, French, German, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazilian and Portuguese), Swedish, Finnish, Danish and Norwegian.
What are my data privacy rights as a CyberCoach user?
We've developed CyberCoach privacy-first. We strive to minimize the data we collect on individual users. It is possible for an organization to use CyberCoach without sharing any identifiable personal data with us. This places some restrictions on our reporting capabilities, we for example, cannot display users who have not opened CyberCoach in the reports. For improved compliance reporting that includes all employees, we just need user email addresses and only connect them with trainings completed.
